The One!

There she was. With my nose touching the glass. I knew since the first time I saw her that she was the one. I could just feel it… and I think she felt that way too. She had everything that I was searching for… even that she was not the beautiful one, or the smallest… she just was perfect. I loved her just the way she was. But then came the nightmare… Although I could see her everywhere… I could not have her… she was always tricking me. Ask some people for help… but they couldn’t do anything… I could only do one thing… search search search… Never give up. I didn’t. Till one day I am coming out of work and I pass this store and I look through the window and there she was. Silver and shining. For $569. I could hear her screaming furiously my name… she was happy to see me too, I could feel it. I stepped into the store and looked closer. She was even more beautiful. But how come she was so expensive… I thought I would have to buy her something… like a wedding gift you know?? Some people just buy rings… I wanted to buy a memory card… it would be perfect. Me and her… and our own 1Gb memory card… ohhh… I was still dreaming about that when the Chinese man appeared. He told me she was the last one… Of course, everyone wanted her. Everyone was dreaming of her, just as I was. For the past 2 weeks. After all she was:

“The compact TZ1....turning the world of travel cameras upside down. Introducing the world's smallest* 10x zoom digital camera with built-in image stabilization, the TZ1. For effortless close ups without the blur, we've incorporated the next generation of dual image stabilization through MEGA O.I.S. and high sensitivity (1600 ISO). As well as a large 2.5" LCD display, 18 scene modes, a world clock and much more. It's everything the smarter traveler wants in a camera, but without the excess baggage.”

The only thing that wasn’t was that I had made this promise to myself, that no matter what I would not buy a camera over $500… soooooooooo I needed to check this last store, so that I could rest in peace… if the last one didn’t have my lovely camera, then I would come by the next day for my shining star. So I turn away and run to the last store… not too far away… I would say 10 minutes. When I got there I was in shock. 18h50 and it was already closed. I could still see customers inside… DAM!!! I walked away… I was so sad. Today was the day that I was supposed to return home with a digital camera… and somehow I managed not to do it.
Walking sadly I dropped a coin… when I picked it up, I looked to my left and there it was: a big store… full of cameras… and it was open. Ohhhhhh!!! This is it… I ran hoping to find my loved one… and you know WHAT??? There she was… near a sign that said “LAST ONE”… because she was the last one she was cheaper… only $486. Fits my budget I thought. Another Asiatic man came in my direction to help me pick a camera, but I just looked at him and said that that was the one I wanted. As he was ringing it up, I said I wanted the memory card too!

I walked out of the store with the biggest smile you could ever imagine, turned on my iPod (sponsored by Bruno – thanks again… will be sending it soon)… put on “nadia – nithin sawney” and walked home with my new lover…

Os Beatles é que diziam qualquer do género "Can´t buy me love". O que é que eles sabem da vida? :D

Que sejas muito feliz com a tua nova camera-metade. Sei que nos vais mostrar muito através dos olhos dela.

Boa escolha de música para celebrar a ocasião :)
